Come
Home
When those long roads you travel
become more lonesome
than you can bear,
you are always welcome to
come home;
I will be waiting
for you there.
Home,
where childish
voices still echo down the halls.
Home,
where photos of
generations decorate the walls.
Home,
where our memories carpet
the floors and paint the ceiling.
Home,
where you can relax
in the comfort of that home again feeling.
Home,
]where a good cup of
conversation starts a morning off just right.
Home,
where a blanket of warm
hugs can lull you into sweet dreams at night.
Home,
where your trophies of
years gone by fill the shelves of life.
Home,
where you can rest your
weary coat and hang up your hat of strife.
Come home,
where the struggle can end
and the healing can start.
It’s an easy journey home,
the first step is taken by
your heart.
