Heir to the
Halo
He may not flaunt a golden
halo
hovering above his head,
and will proudly model the
remnants
of a battered old hat
instead.
Still, you cannot honestly
deny the existence
of his cleverly hidden wings,
when he showers you with gifts
far finer than material
things.
When he lifts you upon his
knee of memories
and passes down lessons learned in his
life,
he navigates you onto smoother
paths
to prevent you from
stumbling against the same strife.
Heaven surely sacrificed
one of its' finest angels
for you, the gentleman's beloved
heir.
So be sure he harbors no
doubts
of how much for him you
sincerely care.
If you are careful to pay
close attention
the next time go you fishing with your dear
grandfather,
you may be fortunate enough to spot the
reflection
of his wings in the
water.
