Over ivory
sands I will stroll,
while
drinking in the beauty of the crystal sea.
I will
breathe in the scent of paradise,
and relish
in the knowledge that it is mine for
eternity.
I will
dance along golden streets,
enjoying
the music of angels’ laughter.
I will melt
in the presence of my Lord,
oh, the joy
that will be mine in the great hereafter!
I will step
through the doors of a marble mansion,
and invite
the saints of old in for tea.
I will sit
talk with them for hours,
for the
owner of that manor will be me.
I will lay
beside a great lion,
and snuggle
against his velvety fur.
I will
drift into a sweet, peaceful slumber
to the
melody of his breathing soft a kitten’s
purr.
I will slip
into the Holy Library,
for another
glimpse of the Sacred Book.
I will
slide my finger across my name,
in
disbelief that this was all it took.
I will set
out in search of my Jesus,
to kiss Him
for including me in His Holy Will.
And when a
thousand tomorrows have passed,
I will be
there praising Him still.
