In the Hands of
Love
Soft as a child’s
whisper.
Sweet as a summer’s
first kiss.
Your hearts must be
filled with wonder,
of how they ever
found a love such as this.
Well, I will let
you in on a little secret.
Your romance began
long before you were aware.
In the hours of a
mother’s dreams for her child,
carried to our Lord
in hands folded in prayer.
He then took the
two of you,
one each in the
palms of His mighty hands.
Then He folded them
together like a prayer.
Your hearts were
introduced and your love began.
Gentle as a morning
bird’s song.
Refreshing as a
spring rain from above.
How delightful is
this gift from our Lord!
Your young romance
was born in the hands of love.
