In Thy Favor

Worry wells within me

as turmoil taunts and teases.

Hopelessness overwhelms me

like a terminal disease.

When at last my troubles

become more than I can stand,

I relinquish them, my Lord,

into Thy capable hands.

I leave them in Your favor

and get out of Your way.

You wash them in Your mercy

and it‘s like darkness fading to day.

I watch in awed amazement

as You flaunt Your power.

I bathe in the joy

of the blessings that You shower.

My Lord, take my whole life please,

and keep it in Your favor!

Oh, how sweet the taste

Thy grace is to savor.
