Twinkle, Twinkle

Twinkle, twinkle blessed chosen star.

For your place in the northern sky, you have traveled from afar.

You led three wise men from the eastern ends of the earth,

to kneel in worship before the child born of a virgin birth.

Your sparkling brilliance of glowing white light

is a trophy reminder of the miracle born on that holiest night.

In the years that have passed since the Christ child came,

you have lit up the sky proclaiming His name.

So when darkness closes in, and we fear facing another day,

we only need to look to the Creator of the stars; His light will show the way.

During the holidays as stories are retold of that holy night,

lead us to Him once again, blessed chosen star, with your gift of light.
