Love’s Gift
Many are the rewards and
responsibilities
when a man and woman join
as husband and wife.
Along with the union of
bodies and souls,
there is also the sharing
of one life.
Love invites two people
together,
and leads them into the
bonds of holy matrimony.
Then love flaunts its’
affections again
with the gift of each
other’s families.
And that is what each of
you are to me,
more than my in-laws, you
are a gift.
Your arms have always been
open and welcoming,
and thoughts of you give
my spirit a lift.
Daily demands dip into my
time,
and the minutes left are
often too few.
Forgive me for not telling
you often enough,
just how much I adore and
appreciate each of you.
