I believe God has a special flower garden

hidden in Heaven above.

I can see the flowers of that garden

basking in the light of their Gardener's love.

I can see Him stopping to touch each one

tenderly with a caring hand;

and I see Him leaning down to relish their scent

as He waters the soil of their land.

I can see God kissing them softly

with gentle drops of dew,

and covering them protectively

under a sky of clear blue.

You may wonder why He tends to this garden

as if the flowers are of invaluable worth.

Well, the garden holds the flowers of friendship;

those He nurtures, for us here on earth.

I personally have no need to ask God

for one of those rare blossoms I suppose.

For you see, God has already given to me

His only yellow rose.
