Have you ever wondered
what God looks like?
I don’t. I have seen His
face.
You can too if you
try.
You can see him from most
any place.
Watch the changing trees
with the turn of the seasons,
and you will catch a
glimpse of emotion in His eyes.
Often sparkling with
adoration, sometimes fierce with anger,
gentled with affection, or
saddened by need to chastise.
You can relish the tender
scent of His breath,
in air perfumed by a
honeysuckle vine.
You can trace the firm set
of His jaw
by gazing at a tree it
took time a century to define.
You can see the concerned
furrow of His brow
in the wrinkles of the
clouds that decorate the sky.
You can feel the softness
of His tear weathered cheeks
in the tranquility of a
baby’s sigh.
You can see the features
of God’s face throughout His creation.
Drink it in, observe His
flawless profile.
Know that when the sun
illuminates the globe in its’ warmth,
that is Him beaming at you
with His smile.
As for me, I will behold
thy face. ~ Psalm 17:15
