Life’s Simple
Blessings
Perfume and incense bring
joy to the heart,
and the pleasantness of
one's friend springs from his earnest counsel.
~Proverbs 27:9
It’s a steaming
cup of hot coffee on the coldest of winter
days.
It’s a gentle
breeze cooling the effects of summer’s scorching
rays.
It’s the melody of
your favorite song playing on the radio.
It’s the first
glance of ground freshly covered in snow.
It’s life’s simple
blessings that bring bouts of joy to the heart,
and the friends
who are kind enough to take part.
Whether it be a
helping hand or merely a warm smile that will
do,
friends are the
blessings of life sent to see you through.
It’s the smell of
your favorite dish ready to serve.
It’s a soak in
relaxing waters to calm a frayed nerve.
Life’s simple
blessings, they enrich and they mend.
Thank you for the
blessing of being my friend.
