Sweet
Redemption
How sweet the
redemption that both knocked me down
and then lifted me off my
knees.
How sweet the Redeemer who came to me in that
bitter hour
and up righted me
again with ease.
It was sweet
redemption that faced me with the icy realization
that I was without choice but to
reform.
It was the sweet Redeemer who bathed
me
in the substance of cleansing blood, pure and
warm.
How grateful I am for that sweet redemption
that will one day permit me to touch God’s
face.
How grateful I am for that sweet Redeemer
who sacrificed luxury and in torment took my
place.
Oh, how precious that sweet
redemption
that I hold sacred and from which I will never
part.
Oh, how precious that sweet
Redeemer
who stepped out of
Heaven and into my heart.
